The public is invited to the FREE book launch party for SILENT MURDERS, held at the Library of Virginia on Oct. 15 at 6:00. I’ll give a short talk on silent movies and we’ll be screening one (Douglas Fairbanks’s Son of Zorro) in the adjacent room. Period music on an old Victrola, Charleston lessons, bootleg wine and champagne, hors d’oeuvres, and a book signing, plus free parking in the deck below the library at 9th and Broad.
