Festival of the Book approaches!

420031_10151516021579773_351322052_n The 20th annual Festival of the Book takes place in Charlottesville this weekend and I’ll be there Friday and Saturday to attend presentations, serve on panels, and enjoy lunches and receptions. Find me at the Virginia Mysteries program at 2:00 Friday, at the receptions at 5:30 at the two bookstores on the mall, at the program/lunch on Saturday at 10:00 AM, and on the Crime Wave panel on Saturday at at 2:00, both at the Omni. Most events are free, so come!

About Me

I'm an Army brat who has lived in Virginia most of my adult life. I received my BA and MA in history from the College of William and Mary and taught American history and museum studies at Virginia Commonwealth University for thirteen years. I am the author of 200 magazine articles, most on history, travel, and business topics, 15 nonfiction books, and 9 historical mysteries.
