Raleigh Tavern Recipes goes into 17th printing
My very first book–really, more of a booklet–Recipes from the Raleigh Tavern Bake Shop, was published in 1984 when I was an employee at Colonial Williamsburg. It has been a strong and steady seller over the decades and is now in its 17th printing! They estimate that over a quarter of a million copies have been sold. Too bad I don’t get royalties! Back when I first brought it out, we sold it for $1.95. Today it’s $3.95–still a bargain. I’m very proud that my little booklet has netted around half a million dollars for Colonial Williamsburg.
