Wine Spectator and Me

Sure, I love to drink wine, but never in a million years did I think I’d see my name in the industry’s premiere magazine, Wine Spectator. Their November issue features an article on Virginia Christmas traditions and wines, and it begins, “The American celebration of Christmas is rooted in Virginia, according to Mary Miley Theobald, author of Four Centuries of Virginia Christmas (Dietz Press). Unlike the New England Puritans,  who scorned Christmas celebrations, ‘Virginians had no such qualms about the English holiday they loved so much,’ she writes.”  I’ll drink to that!
