One Book Each Fall: 2012 & 2013

Just heard from my publisher that my mystery, THE IMPERSONATOR, has been scheduled for a fall 2013 release. Of course, I’d prefer it to come out next week–I’m so impatient!–but fall is considered the best time to introduce a book, so that’s good news. It will be ready for the gift-giving season! In a few weeks, my editor and I will start on some revisions. She says they will be few in number, as she really likes the book as is. Then the publisher, St. Martin’s/Minotaur, will come up with cover art. When I see a cover, that’s when my book seems real.

Meanwhile, I have another fall release to handle this year. My book on the history of Virginia’s governor’s mansion, FIRST HOUSE: TWO CENTURIES WITH VIRGINIA’S FIRST FAMILIES, is headed to the printer next week, then to the binder. It should be in the warehouse by mid-September, ready for its October release.
